Identity

I sometimes question my identity before you

If a person briefly crossed paths with another, can that individual have such a profound effect in the way you perceive everything?

I used to view colors and shades with such simplicity

But now I can see different hues of blue

Before you, it was just a shade of color

It was either sky or ocean

Scientists say early humans were colorblind and could only recognize black, white, red, yellow, and green

They had no concept of the color blue, no words to describe it

In Homer’s Odyssey, it describes an ocean as a “wine-red sea.”

But miraculously, the color blue appeared

Ancient Egyptians figured out how to create a permanent pigment they used for decorative purposes

The color blue continued to evolve for the next 6,000 years

Blue is ever evolving

And so am I
